Create simple border that can be used on any type of page. Use rectangles and alignment along with a bit of copy and paste for this classic style with universal appeal.
**Objective:** Use shapes and the alignment tools to create a decorative border on your page.

Video Notes:

- - Insert> Shape> Rectangle
    - Use the operations panel to make the size 0.25 x 5.5
    - Click Create
  - Click the horizontal ruler at 1/2 inch
  - Position the rectangle against the ruler marker centered vertically
  - Copy and Paste the rectangle
    - Position the copy directly above the original
    - Paste the rectangle again and position below the original rectangle
  - Select all of the rectangles and use the Quick Access Tool Bar arrange tools to evenly space the rectangles vertically
    - Keeping the rectangles selected, right click and group them together
  - Copy and paste the group
    - Position the copy adjacent to and offset from the original (Shift up)
    - Paste a second time and position the copy adjacent and offset from the second grouping
    - Paste a third and position the copy adjacent and offset from the third grouping
  - Select all of the rectangle groupings and use the Quick Access Toolbar to space them evenly horizontally
  - Keeping all of the grouping selected, right click> Grouping> Ungroup
  - Fill the rectangles with your desired content/color and complete your page
