The Cutting Corners technique features a square photo holder with the opposite corners rounded. Then by copying the shape several times it will form a corner decoration. This shape is used as the building piece for creating this quick page layout. Video Notes: Insert a 6" square photo on the center of the page with a 3 pt stroke.

From the Insert Ribbon, click on Empty frame.
From the QAT, add a 3 pt stroke and change the size to 6" x 6".
From the Home Ribbon, click on Align and then click on Center on page.

Now to make the shapes with rounded corners. Insert a 2.25" square shape on the page.

From the Insert Ribbon, click on Shape, Rectangle. Change the size to 2.25" x 2.25" and remove the stroke.
With the square selected, go to the Cut Ribbon, click on Corners. You will need to flatten the shape.
Select the “Rounded Corner” cutter. Adjust the “Size of Corner” to 75. Deselect the opposite corners and click ok.
With the first shape made with the corner cutter, copy and paste it three times.
Position all 3 shapes.
The first shape is ready.
The 2nd shape, rotate once 90 degrees counterclockwise.
For the 2nd and 3rd shapes, I need to reset the top of the shape. So, I will right click and select flatten for each shape.
Now, I need to convert all 3 shapes to a photo holder.
Click on one of the shapes, go to the Insert Ribbon, click on Outliner. Then right click, hover over fill, and click on convert to a photo drop point. Do the same thing for the other 2 shapes. The original shapes can be deleted.
Position the shapes.

Insert a 2.5" circle photo holder with a 3pt stroke.

From the Insert Ribbon, click on Empty frame.
From the QAT tool bar change the shape of the photo holder to a circle and add a 3pt stroke. Position over the 3 custom shapes.

This completes the upper corner design. Now to create the lower corner design. Copy the corner design and place them in the bottom corner. Adjust the position of the middle custom shape. And then adjust the circle photo holder. Now, you can add shadows or glows to your elements. You can add your title and your text.
