This video will change the way you think about lines and strokes. We will show you how your word art can become cool text scatters with just a few clicks.
### Video Notes:

Insert> Line> Straight Line or Path
- Add two points to create a line where you desire the border
- Click Create
Use the Quick Access Toolbar (QAT)> Stroke from an art kit
- Apply a patterned Stroke
Right Click> Stroke> Format
- Increase the Stroke size to 1 inch
- Go to Shape> Get image> From an art Kit
- Choose desired word art and select content
  - Click invert on the mask menu that appears to box/unbox word art
  - Adjust channels, if necessary
    - We recommend that you use non-decorative word art for this technique.
    - If you use word art that has background detail and textures, it may not fair well on the Red, Green, or Blue channels and can result in a distorted image. There is no way to know which of the embellishments will look good and which will not. It is simply trial and error.
  - Click OK
- Adjust the other Stroke settings to get your desired look
- Click OK

Layering two different stroke patterns:

Copy and paste existing Stroke
Align the new Stroke with the original
Right click the new Stroke> Stroke> Format
- Adjust the stroke as desired

Enlarging the stroke:

Right Click> Flatten (You will no longer be able to format the Stroke)
- Size the Stroke as desired
