How to Effectively Use OneDrive with FOREVER Software

By FOREVER

OneDrive, Microsoft's cloud storage service, syncs files across devices but can interfere with the functionality of FOREVER® software like Artisan® and Historian™. If you're saving your FOREVER files (e.g., projects, art kits, and vaults) on OneDrive, it could cause access issues. Here's how to set up your computer for smoother operation with FOREVER software:

1. Avoid Syncing Key Folders

Open OneDrive settings and turn off syncing for folders like Documents and Desktop, where Artisan and Historian files are typically saved. This prevents your FOREVER files from being automatically stored in OneDrive.

2. Move Existing Files

If files have already synced to OneDrive, move them to your local hard drive. This helps prevent future issues with accessing your content.

3. Unlink or Uninstall OneDrive

If you prefer not to use OneDrive at all, unlink or uninstall it, but ensure you've moved all necessary files first. You can reinstall OneDrive to retrieve any files that were previously synced.

The comprehensive guide will help ensure that your FOREVER content remains safe, easily accessible, and free from interference by OneDrive.
